Acacia Academy of Music was founded by Morgan Nogradi to provide a clear, structured, and enjoyable approach to piano study. The academy combines the richness of the European classical tradition with a strong emphasis on healthy, sustainable playing.
Morgan's musical foundation was shaped through years of study with the Greek-American pianist Stephie Koulouris (Artist’s Diploma, MMus Performance, MMus Education). Under her guidance, Morgan achieved a Grade 8 Distinction in Piano Performance and a Grade 7 Distinction in Music Theory through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
After experiencing a piano injury, Morgan began technical retraining in the Taubman Approach under Mary Moran, co-founder of the Golandsky Institute. This experience deeply influenced her understanding of coordination, efficient movement, and tension-free playing, and continues to shape the technical foundation of the Acacia curriculum.
At Acacia, students are encouraged not only to play notes accurately, but to develop a sensitive ear for tone, balance, and expressive sound from the very beginning. Lessons are designed to help students develop confidence, musical understanding, and technical ease through thoughtful, structured study.
Morgan is currently continuing her studies toward the ARSM Performance Diploma and Grade 8 Music Theory, along with other subjects, reflecting a broader commitment to musical understanding, pedagogy, and classical education.
